We were speaking on hell and I made the comment that the reality of eternal damnation apart from God was a driving force in my decision to be in ministry full time. He looked at me and said, "Honestly?! You think a loving God would allow anyone to suffer in an everlasting hell forever?! I guess you also beieve that He would allow you as a born again child of His to be tortured on this earth by demons too?!" It was a real eye opener! I just thought every evangelical believed in eternal hell and demons, etc.! Yes, I too know some folks who have interesting views on the subject. If we look to the Bible as our manual for faith and practice we won't fall prey to fables and misinformation. Be ready to talk about some of the things you've encountered this week. I'm enjoying our discussions as well. WOW, have I been getting some crazy answers! It seems like everyone knows someone who's been haunted by a ghost at one time or another.
